Celebrating 45 years in business, Aqua Design Systems is a premier commercial pool and aquatics construction firm headquartered in historic Senoia, GA. We specialize in designing and building high-end, large-scale commercial aquatics projects, water parks, community pools, and luxury amenity centers across the region. Built on nearly a half-century of engineering excellence, financial stability, and a strong collaborative culture, we are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Construction Accountant to join our team daily at our Senoia office to support our project financial lifecycles from excavation to first splash.
Job Summary:

Working directly with our leadership and operations teams in our Senoia office, you will utilize Sage 100 Contractor to handle full-cycle accounts payable, subcontractor compliance, and general ledger maintenance. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our monthly close out processes, ensuring all financial periods are closed accurately and efficiently, while collaborating closely with Project Managers who manage their own job costing and AIA billing.

-
Subcontractor Compliance: Review and collect lien waivers, insurance certificates (COIs), and specialized compliance materials required to mitigate risk and keep commercial funds moving smoothly.
-
Billing & AR Posting: Review and post project financial transactions. Interface with Project Managers to ensure their completed AIA progress billings (G702/G703) are accurately reflected in the accounting system and track incoming payments.
-
PM Financial Support: Provide reliable accounting data, reports, and transaction details to Project Managers to assist them in tracking their job costs against initial estimates.
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Industry Experience: Prior experience in construction accounting is highly recommended. Candidates must understand contract retainage, phase codes, and the unique workflow of a contractor's office.
-
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Sage 100 (Sage 100 Contractor) is highly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

-
Month-End Expertise: Direct experience managing or heavily contributing to a full-cycle monthly close out process under tight deadlines.
-
Audit Knowledge: Experience preparing or assisting with annual Workers' Comp audits and managing subcontractor insurance verifications.
-
